About this Opportunity: To lead efforts in delivering advanced survivability solutions for US Military Vehicles. This critical role focuses on designing a balanced system that incorporates physical, active, and signature management solutions to ensure the protection of both platform and crew in future battlefield scenarios.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop team structure to clearly define roles, fostering a high-performance environment for team of Engineers in providing technical support for all U.S. Structures & Survivability Engineering activities
  • Define and deliver balanced survivability system design, integrating physical protection, active protection, and signature management solutions.
  • Lead by example, ensuring team adherence to processes and operational procedures.
  • Assess and optimize cost, weight, and ballistic material performance for vehicle survivability.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including navigating political challenges in high-profile defense programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and policies.
  • Serve as Design Authority for survivability, overseeing safety analyses and generating required evidence for compliance.
  • Lead system-level trade studies and analysis to achieve an optimal survivability system design.
  • Manage large-scale projects, including budget oversight and financial control.
  • Provide final approval of technical documents and safety statements in accordance with legal and contractual requirements.
  • Specify and lead qualification trials at both the sub-system and system levels.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Structural, Systems, Aerospace, Automotive); MS is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as SME in Survivability and 10 years of experience managing large, complex U.S. Defense programs.
  • Active or eligible for U.S. Department of Defense SECRET clearance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle engineering principles, survivability solutions, with experience taking concepts through to series production.
  • Knowledge of DOD, TACOM/TARDEC, and relevant military standards and regulations.
  • Expertise in Systems Engineering, standards, and processes.
  • Ability to present technical solutions to both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in bid capture, contract negotiations, and delivery planning.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., UG, NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, ProE) and 3D printing technologies.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%,domestic and international

Cynthia Karrandja
Senior Talent and Training Manager

Cynthia Karrandja is the Senior Talent and Training Manager at Centric Solutions Group (CSG). Cynthia has worked in the service industry her entire career, from successfully managing teams at multi-national chain restaurants to becoming a member of the management team at one of the world’s largest financial institutions, excelling at talent acquisition. She has consistently held a deep passion for helping others.

Cynthia joined CSG as a Talent Specialist, learning all recruitment and account management aspects. Her attention to detail, follow-up, and creating solid relationships are key in her role as Talent Manager. She prides herself on sharing her knowledge and mentoring others; and was quickly promoted to a leadership role as Training Manager. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the orientation process, onboarding, and training for all new and existing CSG team members. Cynthia also supports CSG’s Contract Staffing Division with extending agreements, onboarding, pre-employment screenings, and ensuring a successful candidate experience.  Cynthia collaborates with Centric’s other leaders to provide valuable input in driving the company forward.

Cynthia achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Development from Oakland University. She resides in Shelby Township with her family and dogs, Phineas and Milo. Cynthia enjoys volunteering with Dream Dance Co., Utica Community School Programs, Oakland University’s School of Business Achieve Program, and local charities. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and taking care of her family.
