About this Opportunity:
This position requires an ambitious, strategic thinker responsible for developing, managing, and efficiently executing service orders. This involves handling large and complex orders directly and/or managing the engineering team to ensure projects are completed within budget, maintaining high standards of quality, time efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
• Manage engineering operations affecting annual business revenue between $30M and $50M.
• Supervise 14 to 22 team members, including administrative staff and engineers.
• Define and oversee engineering service strategies post-order receipt.
• Maintain a strategic overview of direct hours and capacity (2,100h to 2,500h/month), making decisions to avoid under-absorption or overloading.
• Implement strategic outsourcing when necessary.
• Oversee all technical and administrative engineering activities.
• Manage the engineering team, including CAD, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, software development, and 24/7 remote support engineers and technicians.
• Allocate daily workloads based on a skill matrix to ensure project targets are met and avoid under-absorption.
• Review and approve designs, simulations, and cost estimations.
• Support the sales team with cost estimations, customer visits, and presentations.
• Ensure quality, timely, and budget-compliant project completion.
• Proactively address engineering or quality issues to ensure smooth project execution.
• Define and manage engineering KPIs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers/partners for overload situations and specific technology needs.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Related Degree and Prefer Master’s degree
• Minimum 8 years of experience within the press service industry, including a minimum of 3 years at a supervisory level.
• Knowledge of the Stamping Industry
• General understanding of technical documentation, drawings, schematics, BOM’s, etc.
• Experience in developing, implementing, and managing budgets, financial statements and understanding P&Ls
• Ability to travel abroad

• Strong time management and organizational skills
