About this Opportunity:

As a Field Service Technician, you will be the face of our company, providing exemplary service to their customers by executing installation, troubleshooting, rebuild, supervision, and preventative maintenance activities. Your primary goal will be to optimize customer's processes and machinery to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and enhance the production performance of Güdel equipment across our installed base.
  • Install, test, and commission equipment with precision and attention to detail.
  • Utilize a variety of tools, measurements, and test equipment tailored to specific situations and equipment requirements.
  • Conduct professional preventive maintenance, analyzing system conditions, rectifying faults, and proactively detecting potential issues to prevent production stoppages.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineering teams, and Customers to effectively coordinate maintenance, installations, and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including detailed service reports and expense reports.
  • Provide on-call support for customers on a rotational weekly basis.
  • Assist in providing necessary information to support quotations for customers.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and Lean practices.
  • Support ISO requirements to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • High school diploma with an additional two years of relevant technical training.
  • Minimum of four years of hands-on experience in electrical/mechanical repair or servicing industrial equipment.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English; proficiency in Spanish (Mexico) or French (Canada) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other PC-based industrial automation software tools.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Behaviors:
  • Represent in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Capable of performing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic installations and building Güdel equipment.
  • Maintain professionalism even in stressful environments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt to varying shifts.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to following all safety requirements and company policies.
  • Possess a proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time and maintain a flexible work schedule.
Physical Demands:
  • Regular talking or hearing, frequent standing, walking, sitting, and manual dexterity.
  • Occasional reaching with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities are required, with reasonable accommodations provided for disabilities.
  • Frequent travel via car, airplane, and/or train.
