About this Opportunity: Responsible for design and development of tracked vehicle hull structure from concept development through prototype fabrication and testing.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of combat vehicle chassis structure and mechanical components from derived system level requirements.
Coordinate and review subsystem/component performance analysis related to structure systems including as a minimum structural integrity, and structural response.
Manage design and development of structure subsystems such as ramps, hatches and access panels working with the structures assigned design staff as well as other multi-disciplinary functions.
Prepare and present design development status to management and customer
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience working with vehicle chassis system design or closely related systems
Knowledge of vehicle structure design including material typical for combat vehicle applications and structural analysis
Military industry knowledge of DoD and US Army processes and standards
Ability to work within CAD based design systems
Knowledge of or ability to learn model based systems engineering technique
Ability to obtain Security Clearance
