About this Opportunity:

A Supply Chain Manager takes on a pivotal role in optimizing our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. With a minimum of 5 year’s experience in automotive Tier 1 Materials management you'll lead a SCM team to achieve 100% on-time delivery to customers while implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to ensure both customer and internal metrics are maintained at acceptable levels. Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement plan with defined actions, responsibilities, and delivery dates that are clearly understood by the team.
  • Manage the plant's SCM continuous improvement plan to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the safe operation of the plant's material handling equipment in compliance with published plant and corporate guidelines.
  • Develop a highly proficient team skilled in the use of the ERP system, lean manufacturing tools, customer systems, and Supply Chain Management processes to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Implement the SCM BASIACs, identify gaps, and execute a continuous improvement plan with clear actions, responsibilities, and delivery dates understood by the team.
  • Manage the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process to facilitate the continuous flow of materials both inbound and outbound.
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding, utilization, and achievement of logistics plans within the plant.
  • Manage plant inventory, ensuring policy and procedures are enforced to achieve accuracy and turnover objectives.
  • Supervise the physical inventory process to ensure accuracy and alignment with corporate policy, targeting a 98%+ inventory accuracy.
  • Develop and communicate the master schedule for various production processes across the plant.
  • Lead the SCM team to achieve 100% on-time delivery to customers and develop continuous improvement strategies for issues hindering this objective.
  • Oversee the supply base and SCM team to ensure 100% On-Time Delivery (OTD) for purchased goods, and develop improvement actions for any issues preventing achievement of the objective.
  •  Ensure utilization of customer requirements, metrics, and systems to acceptable levels within the plant.
  • Establish a proper escalation process with increased levels of communication, both internally and externally, to ensure timely awareness of potential shipment delays.
  • Collaborate with the plant management team to achieve targets, goals, and objectives.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in automotive Tier 1 materials management.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in analytical techniques with demonstrated ability to analyze complex operational, financial, regulatory, and/or business data.
  • Experience as a Continuous Improvement/Kaizen/Lean facilitator.
  • Knowledge of automotive customer systems and requirements (DDL, SNC, SMART, Supply Power, ANTS).
  • APICS certification is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
