About this Opportunity: Leading Global Manufacturer seeking Tax Manager to oversee federal and state income tax compliance, lead tax planning initiatives, and support audits. Coordinate and lead various tax projects while working with global teams to drive process improvement and contribute to strategic tax planning efforts.
Responsibilities:
Manage federal and state income tax compliance activities for all U.S. entities.
Collaborate with the global tax team on strategies and policies that align with business goals.
Lead or support U.S. tax planning projects, audits, and incentive initiatives.
Review or prepare supporting documentation for tax returns and consolidations.
Oversee the R&D tax credit process and lead federal and state incentive projects.
Review federal and state tax projections, quarterly payments, and propose planning opportunities.
Monitor tax legislation developments and communicate potential impacts to leadership.
Manage transfer pricing policies and ensure documentation compliance.
Facilitate IRS and state income tax audits, including preparing schedules and responses.
Provide guidance on sales/use, property, and value-added tax compliance to business groups.
Identify and implement process improvements within tax operations.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
5–8 years of corporate tax experience, ideally in manufacturing; automotive a plus.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and federal/state tax laws.
Experience with tax planning, audits, credits, and transfer pricing.
Skilled in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience a plus.
Excellent research, communication, and leadership skills.
